So a round-up. You can read my interview with Fightstar here: http://www.spoonfed.co.uk/spooners/simon827-4248/fightstar-interview-1117/. I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to interview Charlie, but Omar the drummer is a very nice man and I enjoyed my first interview very much. On the flip-side, I then had to interview In Case of Fire, Fightstar's support band, and, despite being musically immense (50% of the time. The other 50% sees them lose their awesome Mars Volta esque sound and just go all Musey on us. Just not as good.) they weren't very nice. It's so easy to interview someone you like. It's incredibly akward to interview someone you think is an idiot.
Meanwhile, in Simon's brain, the new Greenday album is playing. I'm 4 tracks in and I may as well be listening to American Idiot. I don't think this is the new breath of fresh air in music that I've been looking for lately. I shall give it a chance though. In the meantime, I shall be getting In Case of Fire's album (despite only expecting it to be 50% good). Other than that a music search much occur this weekend to find something new worth listening to.
Wolverine was enjoyable. I don't care what my two overly critical friends suggest. It was fun to watch, the storyline, despite making me geek/comic side want to tear the world apart in a fury, was reasonable and I just like seeing all my favourite characters on screen, even if they do take my favourite, Deadpool, tease me by getting his character spot on for the first fifteen minutes, then taking him outside and shooting him. Not literally.
The world is looking up though. I got the Wolverine game yesterday, and although I have a busy weekend, I'm hoping to get a good hour or two in. The demo impressed me. It was brutal, over the top and exciting. Everything a Wolverine game should be. I'd like to do a proper review once I've played it, if time permits...
