Jump!

I liked the Mirror's Edge demo. Not enough to rush out and buy the game, but enough to buy it last week when it was sufficiently cheap. And never have I had such a love hate releationship with a game.

There are times when I'm screaming at the TV. Times when it's so unclear as to what I'm supposed to be doing. Times when the number of guards is just outright annoying or just purely unfair.

But there are times when my heart acually pounds with excitement as I go for a seemingly impossible jump while being persued by a helicopter, bullets flying past my head. And I make it. The relief seems so real.

There was also the time I got hit by a train. That was pretty impressive.

Overall, Mirror's Edge is an excellent game. One of the best I've played in fact. It's just frustation that can occur while playing really does bring the experience down. But I'll forgive it, just for those moments where a computer game actually gets me excited again. And not in that way you dirty people.

Oh. And watch Hugh Jackman's introduction to the Oscars. It's thoroughly entertaining.
